WINTER BROTHERS takes out the top prize at Denmark’s Bodil Awards

The winners of Denmark’s Bodil Awards have been announced, with the Danish/Icelandic co-production Winter Brothers taking out the top prize for Best Film.

Winter Brothers, which is directed by Hlynur Pálmason and stars Elliott Crosset Hove as one of two brothers who live in a Danish mining town.

 

The jury said about Winter Brothers: “Rarely has a debut film taken our breath away, as Winter Brothers did last year. Hlynur Pálmason has made a film that insists on exploring the potential of the film industry as an art form, which puts the audience’s brain, eyes and ears on glorious overtime.”
