The Unknown Soldier is a WWII-themed film coming from Finland directed by Aku Louhimies. Based on the bestseller by Väinö Linna, the film tells the story of a platoon of ordinary Finnish soldiers in the battlefield between Finland and the Soviet Union during the Second World War.
The production budget for the film and a four-part television series that will follow is the largest ever for a Finnish language film.
