Vendian, Wild Bunch strike deal with Space Rocket Nation

The Neon Demon

Vendian Entertainment and Wild Bunch have made a first-look deal with Nicolas Winding Refn’s production company Space Rocket Nation, which will be producing Maniac Cop, the first in a planned horror trilogy.

John Hyams will commence shooting Maniac Cop in Los Angeles this summer from a script by Ed Brubaker about a Los Angeles police officer who sets out to stop a homicidal colleague. The film is based on William Lustig’s 1988 cult classic of the same name starring Bruce Campbell.

Space Rocket Nation’s Lene Borglum will produce the film, and Refn and William Lustig are creative producers.

Vendian Entertainment and Wild Bunch also partnered with Refn on his upcoming release The Neon Demon.
