Upcoming Danish series ‘Ride Upon the Storm’ wins at MipTV

It’s a good start for the upcoming high-end Danish series Ride Upon the Storm, with a ‘Best Work in Progress’ win at MipTV in Cannes.

The series explores the concept of faith and religion and stars Lars Mikkelsen. Adam Price created the series and is best known for having created the highly successful Borgen.

Ride Upon the Storm was one of five international television shows running for Best Work in Progress. The first two episodes will screen as world premieres at Series Mania in Paris on the 19th of April.

The series is produced by Camilla Hammerich (Borgen) for DR Drama and was co-produced by ARTE France and SAM Le Français, with support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

Ride Upon the Storm will screen on DR1 in Denmark in autumn 2017.
