U.S actress Jessica Chastain to play Ingrid Bergman in new film

The two-time Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain will star in the upcoming from Seducing Ingrid Bergman.

The script, which is based on the 2012 novel by Chris Greenhalgh, tells the story of the torrid romance between Ingrid Bergman and celebrated war photographer Robert Capa. Their relationship began in Paris after World War II and then moved to Hollywood at the time of the McCarthy Communist witch hunts.

The script has been written by Arash Amel and Chastain’s production company, Freckles Films, will oversee the film. No director has been announced.

Chastain is currently serving as a Cannes jury member.
