Two Nordic television series will be released on Walter Presents

The British streaming service Walter Presents has announced two new television series that will be added to its line-up.

Walter Iuzzolino, curator at Walter Presents said: “Icelandic and Swedish drama are stronger than they’ve ever been right now, and I’m delighted to have sealed this 20-hour deal with Red Arrow Studios International.”

The Court

The first of the two series is the 2009 Icelandic drama The Court (Réttur in Icelandic) ,which was produced by Sagafilm. The series follows the public and private lives of three lawyers in a Reykjavik law firm. The series stars Magnús Jónsson (Case), Jóhanna Vigdís Arnardóttir (Case) and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson (Game of Thrones). The Court currently has a rating of 7.6 on IMDb. 

The Court will debut on All4 and Walter Presents in September.


Released last year in Sweden, Farang stars Ola Rapace as a father who flees Sweden to Thailand after testifying against a former criminal accomplice. The relationship between father and daughter comes to the fore as he faces a family crisis. Farang was produced by Warner Bros for CMore and TV4 Sweden. Louise Nyvall, Sahajak Boonthanakit and Gerhard Hoberstorfer also star in the series.

Farang will debut immediately after The Court, so some time near the end of the year.
