Two Nordic Actresses among the European Shooting Stars

Alba August (Sweden) and Eili Harboe (Norway) are among the ten actors selected as European Shooting Stars. They will be awarded at the Berlinale in 2018.

Actresses Alba August, known for Becoming Astrid (to be released in 2018), and Eili Harboe, known for Thelma, are following in the footsteps of Alicia Vikander (Sweden), Pilou Asbæk (Denmark) and Baltasar Kormákur (Iceland), who have been previously selected as European Shooting Stars.

Alba and Eili are among the ten up-and-coming actors who will be honoured at the Berlinale Palast on 19 February 2018. Besides being recognised as European Shooting Stars donated by Leysen1855, they will be presented to the industry, the public and the international press attending the 68th Berlin International Film Festival taking place 15–25 February 2018.

The members of the 2018 jury were former Shooting Star Eduardo Noriega (Spain), director Mijke de Jong (Netherlands), casting director and ICDN member Nicole Schmied (Austria), producer Ankica Juric Tilic (Croatia) and film critic and arts editor Mode Steinkjer (Norway).
