TV series TRAPPED selected for TIFF ‘Primetime’

TrappedThe Icelandic television series Trapped has been selected for a new part of the Toronto International Film Festival – Primetime, which will represent the best in international television. The pilot episode of the series is set to be screened.

Based on an idea by Baltasar Kormákur, the series takes place in a small town in a fjord that has been snowed in. A murder has been committed and the suspected killer is still in the town, trapped by the raging storm. The local police chief is determined to solve the case before the storm dies down. The series is directed by Baltasar Kormákur, Baldvin Z, Óskar Thór Axelsson and Börkur Sigthórsson. The screenplay is written by Sigurjón Kjartansson, Clive Bradley, Ólafur Egill Egilsson and Jóhann Aevar Grímsson. It is produced by Baltasar Kormákur and Magnús Vidar Sigurdsson for RVK Studios.
