TrustNordisk picks up ‘The Shamer’s Daughter II – The Serpent Gift’

The Danish sales agency TrustNordisk has picked up the sequel to the hit fantasy adventure film The Shamer’s Daughter, which is called The Shamer’s Daughter II – The Serpent Gift.

Based on Lene Kaarberbøl’s bestselling book series, the film sees the return of Dina, a young woman who unwillingly inherited her mother’s supernatural ability. In the film, a dragon lord is planning to invade he Highlands and destroy any chance of a respectable and independent life. Faced with multiple threats, Dina embarks on a perilous journey with her estranged father who has the power to make people see illusions, to rescue Nico, another lord, and Davin, her brother, who have been imprisoned. Through her journey, Dina discovers that she possesses her father’s abilities on top of her own supernatural abilities.

The Shamer’s Daughter II will be directed by Ask Hasselbalch and stars Emilie Sattrup, Jakob Oftebro and Søren Malling.

The film is currently in post-production and will be released in Scandinavia on the 7th of February, which a preview to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival this month.
