TrustNordisk picks up Hans Petter Moland’s new film

The Danish sales agency TrustNordisk has picked up the sales rights to the new film from Hans Petter MolandOut Stealing Horses.

Written and directed by Moland, the film stars Stellan Skårsgard and is based on the novel by Per Petterson. Set in November 1999, the film follows 67-year-old Trond who lives in solitude and is looking forward to spending New Years Eve 2000 alone. As winter arrives he discovers he has a neighbour, a man Trond knew back in 1948, the summer he turned 15 and the summer Trond’s father prepared him to carry the burden of his forthcoming betrayal and disappearance. And also the summer Trond grew up and smelled the scent of a woman he longed for. The same woman Trond’s father was preparing to spend his life with.

Shooting is set to begin this week, and will end around June or July. No release date has been announced.
