TrustNordisk and Zentropa developing Swedish thriller

Danish sales company TrustNordisk and production company Zentropa are developing a major TV thriller series in partnership with Peter Settman’s new production company, Brain Academy, ScreenDaily reports. The eight-part series is adapted from UK writer Alex Scarrow’s 2007 novel Last Light.

The story revolves around the breakdown of global society – starting with attacks on the worlds oil supply and during the seven days anonymous terrorists hold the planet hostage while the world collapses. The film revolves around the disaster from the perspective of one family that includes a London-based oil engineer and his twenty one year old daughter.

The writers and directors are set to be a mix of UK and Scandinavians, and the cast are expected to be internationally known actors.
