TrustNordisk and Nordisk Film become TWINS

Production giants TrustNordisk and Nordisk Film have announced that they will join forces for the upcoming Norwegian television series Twin.

The series is created by Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones, In Order of Disappearence) and Kristoffer Metcalfe. Hivju came up with the idea and Metcalfe, along with writer Gisle Norman Melhus, wrote the series.

Hivju also stars in the lead role(s). Set in Lofoten, Erik is a surfer bum who hasn’t seen his identical twin, Adam (both Erik and Adam are played by Hivju), a successful businessman with a perfect family. When Erik loses everything, he reaches out to Adam but is rejected. A quarrel breaks out between them and Ingrid, Adam’s wife, accidentally kills Adam. To cover the crime and save his brother’s family, Erik takes over Adam’s identity.

Besides Hivju being one of the series creators, he also stars in the main lead. The rest of the cast is yet to be announced.

The collaboration between Nordisk Film and TrustNordisk further marks a joint venture and future key focus on the development, production and sale of TV-series.

TrustNordisk will be handling all international sales.
