The Danish actress Trine Dyrholm has joined the cast of the new Danish movie Teenage Jesus.
Set in a pysch ward, Teenage Jesus explores the intense relationship between a perfectionist young psychologist and her suicidal patient. Through a psychological war, the two women form a complicated and intimate bond.
Lisa Carlehed plays the psychologist, Victoria Carmen Sonne the patient, and Trine Dyrholm plays a doctor.
The film will began shooting last week, and will shoot for six weeks at the Psychiatric Centre Sankt Hans in Roskilde.
This is director Marie Grahtø’s debut film.
Teenage Jesus is produced by Amalie Lyngbo Quist and Julie Friis Walenciak from Denmark’s Beo Starling and co-producers are Mark Lwoff and Misha Jaari from Finland’s Bufo. Backers are supported by the Danish Film Institute’s New Danish Screen, Finnish Film Foundation and Nordic Film & TV Fond.
