TOM OF FINLAND to screen in Detroit this month

The hit Finnish biopic Tom of Finland will screen at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit this month.

The film, which is directed by Dome Karukoski, follows the life of Touko Laaksonen, known around the world as Tom of Finland. The Finnish artist earned his fame for his massive influence on gay culture, specifically for his highly masculine erotic art.

After the screening, the museum will host a Q&A session with the exhibition’s curators Durk Dehner, Sharp and Graeme Flegenheimer.

The screening takes place on the 22nd of April at 4pm. More information can be found online at mocadetroit.org.
