The Swedish series ‘Alex’ has been picked up around the world

The latest in Swedish crime, Alex, has been picked up for distribution in key territories around the world.

The series is about the ruthless corrupt police officer Alex who is leaving his dubious past behind and coming clean. However, the underworld is not quite ready to let him go, and this puts Alex and his family’s lives in great danger. At the same time, Alex gets a new partner in the police force, Frida, who secretly has been instructed to bring him down.

The series has been sold to UK pubcaster and streamer Walter Presents, Polyband in Germany, Amazon Prime Video in France, My Nordic TV in China, UK broadcaster MHZ, Canal+ in Poland, and Pop TV in Slovenia.

Alex has been confirmed for a second season by Scandinavian producer SF Studios and Nevision. In Scandinavia, it is shown on the streaming service Viaplay. Dragomir Mrsic and Mikael Cross came up with the idea, Frans Wiklund wrote the script, and Alain Darborg is directing.
