The Remake Rights of ”Click Me” –Series Sold to Sweden

The remake rights of the TV-series “Click Me”, written by Johanna Vuoksenmaa and produced by Riina Hyytiä, have been sold to Sweden. Dionysos Films has produced two seasons (in 2011 and 2014) of the popular series, which has won five golden Venla-awards. The remake-rights of the series were sold to the production company B-Reel. B-Reel was founded in 1999, in Stockholm, Sweden, but has since gone global with offices in New York, London, Los Angeles, Berlin and Barcelona.

The producer of the series Riina Hyytiä happily states that “the sales work of Click Me has been ongoing for several years and around the world, including optioning in America. It’s great that we have now found a collaborator also in the neighbouring country.”

”As a long time emotional raspberry boat refugee of Sweden I’m incredibly happy that something I have created is found interesting by the Swedes” says writer-director Johanna Vuoksenmaa.

Frida Bargo, the producer of B-Reel is also happy about the collaboration: “It’s an honor to be able to work with the original, humorous and ingenious premise that is the world of “Click Me”. I’m sure that this will please the Swedes as much as it already has entertained the Finns. We’re currently working on our Swedish angle on great comedy and drama of this fantastic series.”

Click Me is a comedy-drama series about divorced and single people seeking a partner in the world of online dating. The series cast include Minttu Mustakallio, Minna Suuronen, Pirjo Lonka, and Timo Tuominen. The series, 24 episodes in total, is written and directed by Johanna Vuoksenmaa and distributed by MTV3.
