The Nordic films shortlisted for the European Film Awards 2018

The European Film Academy has announced the list of 49 films of this year’s EFA Feature Film Selection. This films will be recommended for a nomination in the 2018 European Film Awards. 

In the coming weeks, over 3,500 members of the European Film Academy will nominate in the categories of European Film, Director, Actor, Actress and Screenwriter. The final list of nominees will be announced on the 10th of November at the Seville Film Festival in Spain. An eight-member jury will then decide on the winners, with the winners to be announced on the 15th of December in Seville. 

Here are the Nordic films that have been nominated:

Borg/McEnroe dir. Janus Metz (Denmark, Finland, Sweden)

The Guilty dir. Gustav Moller (Denmark)

The House That Jack Built dir. Lars von Trier (Denmark, Sweden)

U-July 22 dir. Erik Poppe (Norway)

Under the Tree dir. Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurdsson (Iceland, Denmark)

What Will People Say dir. Iram Haq (Norway)

Woman at War dir. Benedikt Erlingsson (Iceland)
