‘The Lunchbox’ Premieres in Denmark

Ritesh Batras Indian drama The Lunchbox which has been arthouse DFI subsidies will premiere in Danish cinemas today. “The Lunchbox” is one of the year’s most talked-about films at international film festivals and starring as Saajan played by one of India’s biggest male actors, Irrfan Khan, among other things, known from “Slumdog Millionaire” and “Life of Pi”.

In Mumbai’s busy schedule brings the wrong lunch delivery two very different destinies. The little stomach acid and pension mature widower, Saajan receive by mistake the lunch as housewife, Ila, has prepared for her husband. The heavenly meal will be the start of a humorous and touching letter exchange in the lunchbox of passion, longing and hope for the future. Saajan and Ila find a missing space to express their innermost thoughts, and the small letters are gradually filled with warm feelings and a suggestion as to where happiness lies.
