The Finnish crime series ‘Bordertown’ has been confirmed for a third season

With season two of the hit Finnish crime series Bordertown currently screening on local television, filming of a third season is currently underway.

Bordertown tells the story of inspector Kari Sorjonen who tries to keep his family together while solving despicable crimes in Finland, and the series has been described as a Finnish Sherlock. Season two begins with a double murder that triggers an investigation over the border and into Russia. 

Season three filming is underway so the series can take advantage of the gorgeous Finnish winter landscape. All major characters will be back for the third series. 

Bordertown season two is currently airing on Yle in Finland, and season three will be released in October 2019. Season one is available to stream on Netflix around the world, with season two coming soon. You can watch a clip from season two below.
