The Danish public broadcaster DR has announced two new crime series

Despite the rumours that Nordic Noir is slowing down, the Danish public broadcaster DR has announced it is producing two new crime dramas.

The first of the two is The Team. The first season is about a European investigation team that investigates organised crime across the borders in Europe, and it stars Lars Mikkelsen, Filip Peeters and Ida Engvoll. Series two will see Marie Bach Hansen in the leading role, and the story will revolve around a bed and breakfast hotel that has had a mass murder take place. The hotel is in Marskgården in Sønderjylland, a refuge for refugees – all indicating a terrorist attack.

The Team will be released in Denmark on the 19th of August.

The hit Danish series Follow the Money is back for a third season. The main characters Nicky and Alf (Esben Smed Jensen and Thomas Hwan) are joined by a new female character played by Maria Rich.

Series three will be released in 2019.
