The British Film Institute is bringing Bergman to the U.K

The new Ingmar Bergman documentary Bergman – A Year in the Life has been picked up by BFI Distribution to be released in the United Kingdom.

Bergman – A Year In A Life centres on 1957, a year in which Bergman directed two feature films and four plays. It explores his work, his personality and his turbulent private life. Director Jane Magnusson used both previously unseen archive material, clips from Bergman’s work and contributions from contemporary commentators, including cast and crew who worked with Bergman. It had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.

Bergman – A Year in the Life will be released around the U.K. in select cinemas from the 25th of January 2019.
