‘The Absent One’ Sets Record

With 131 480 tickets sold in the opening weekend ‘The Absent One‘ has had the third biggest opening weekend ever for a Danish film. And with 63,065 sold sneak preview tickets on top of the The Absent One just four days after the premiere as high as 194,545 tickets sold and thus holds the best opening weekend for a Danish movie ever incl. sneak peeks. At the same time the film opened even better than The Keeper of Lost Causes

After The Keeper of Lost Causes in 2013 became the year’s most-watched movies at home, there were huge expectations Zentropa’s successor The Absent One.Today Zentropa and Nordisk Film Distribution tell that the expectations have been met in full.
