Swedish TV hosts making THE CAKE GENERAL

Swedish TV hosts Filip and Fredrik are preparing to shoot their feature debut, The Cake General. The pair are known for having collaborated since the 1990s and won several awards for their television programmes.

The film will star Robert Gustafsson, who is known for his lead role in The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared. The film will follow what happens when Köping (in central Sweden, with 18,000 inhabitants) is named the country’s most boring town by a TV magazine in 1984.

The district is paralysed, and the rest of Sweden is laughing at it, but a new resident – Hasse Pettersson (Gustafsson), strongly indebted and slightly alcoholic – decides to show the ‘Stockholm bastards’ a thing or two, by making the world’s longest sandwich cake, which leads to a series of absurd events.
