Swedish Film Festival begins in Chennai

The Swedish Film Festival kicked off yesterday in Chennai, India, with the aim of bringing more foreign films to the regions.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Swedish Film Festival, Arun Vasu, the Consulate of Sweden, said that ‘there is a huge fan following here for foreign films; every other week, you get to see screenings of those films here.’

Three films will be shown at the festival: The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared, Underdog and Ego.

These films were screened yesterday and today at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture.
