Swedish Christmas film debuts with biggest local audience
Swedish film A Holy Mess premiered on the 13th of November and has registered as the best weekend opening film of 2015, taking in 77,736 admissions.
A Holy Mess is directed by Helena Bergström and follows two young men, Simon and Oscar, who have been a couple for three years. Together with their friend Cissi they have bought a house just out of Stockholm. One room is a nursery as Cissi is nine months pregnant – however they aren’t sure if Simon or Oscar are the father. Nevertheless, the three of them are going to start a family together. They decide to announce this on Christmas Night, assuming this is a day of love and nothing could possibly go wrong.
The film stars Robert Gustafsson (The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared), Maria Lundqvist & Anastasios.
