Swedish Actor Johannes Brost Has Passed Away

The 71-year-old Swedish actor, Johannes Brost, died after a long battle of cancer in Skåne University Hospital located in the south of Sweden. It was last year when the public got to know about Johannes Brost’s illness. “He struggled hard and long but was unable to win the fight against cancer”, wrote his family to TT, Sweden’s national news agency.

Johannes Brost has a long and successful career in Sweden. In 2013, he won a Guldbagge Award for Best Actor for the Swedish film Avalon directed by Axel Petersén. International audiences know him from the popular TV show Jordskott in which he played Pekka Koljonen / Dr Koljonen. He also appeared in Norwegian series Lilyhammer and Swedish TV show Miss Friman’s War.
