Sverrir Gudnason & Thorsteinn Bachmann to star in IMAGINE MURDER

Swedish actor Sverrir Gudnason and Icelandic actor Thorsteinn Bachmann will star in the upcoming Icelandic film Imagine Murder.

The film is inspired by the real life Icelandic murder case in 1974, where a young couple was accused of murdering two missing men. The couple were systematically broken down by the police until they confessed.

A documentary about the case, Out of Thin Air, is about to be released on television (you can read our interview with the director here).

Gudnason is about to appear in the highly anticipated Borg/McEnroe, and Bachmann can currently be seen on Netflix in Case. Gudnason was born in Sweden but raised in Iceland. He moved back to Sweden as a young adult and went on to star in popular Swedish series like Wallander.

Imagine Murder is produced by Ingvar Thordarson and Julius Kemp, whose credits include box office hit Life In A Fishbowl and Bothersome Man. The film will be directed by Eagle Egilsson, who previously directed The Blacklist and CSI Miami.

The film will shoot in Iceland in 2018.

We spoke to Thorsteinn Bachmann last year, and you can read our interview here.
