Susanne Bier’s new film to screen at AFI Fest

Susanne Bier’s new film has been selected to screen in the Gala section at the American Film Institute (AFI) Fest 2018.

Called Bird Box, the film takes places after an unknown global terror. A mother must find the strength to flee with her children down a treacherous river in search of safety. Due to unseen deadly forces, the journey must be made blindly.

Bird Box stars Sandra Bullock, John Malkovich, Trevante Rhodes, and Sarah Paulson. It will be released on Netflix.

AFI Fest runs from the 8th until the 15th of November, with all films screening at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Bier’s film will screen on the 12th of November.

Bird Box will be released in the United States and United Kingdom on the 21st of December.
