Stellan Skarsgård lends his voice to the animated film GORDON AND PADDY

Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård [+] has lent his voice to Gordon and Paddy, a Swedish animated family film that has just been picked up by New Europe Film Sales.

The film tells the story of Gordon, the police chief of the forest who is about to retire and needs to find a new assistant. He hires Paddy, a clever mouse with a great sense of smell and together they work on solving his last case. The story is based on a series of books by Ulf Nilssons and Gitte Spees.

Gordon and Paddy will involve a strong Swedish cast. Along with Skarsgård, comedian Felix Hengren [+] (who wrote The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared) and Melinda Kinnaman [+] (Modus) will also lend their voices to the film.

The Swedish release date is the 22nd of December and will also be released in France next year. Gordon and Paddy is produced by LEE Film in co-production with Film i Väst [+] and SVT [+] with support from the Swedish Film Institute [+], Nordisk Film & TV Fond [+], Creative Europe, YLE and TriArt Film, which will also release the film in Scandinavia.
