SOLSIDAN had its premiere in Sweden on the 1st of December, and it is going stroing. During the weekend, 184,426 people have seen the film in nearly 300 cinemas throughout the country. This has been indeed the strongest opening for a film in Sweden this year.

The film is based on one of Sweden’s most popular comedy with the same title. It is about love, adulthood and unwritten swimming rules. It is directed by Felix and Måns Herngren, written by Jesper Harrie, produced by Emma Nyberg, and disributed by SF Studios. The main characters are played by Felix Herngren, Mia Skäringer, Josephine Bornebusch, Johan Rheborg, Henrik Dorsin, Malin Cederbladh, Henrik Schyffert, Frida Hallgren and Sven Wollter.

It feels fantastic that Solsidan has been seen by so many. It is a great beginning, and it shows that there is an interest to see Swedish films in cinemas. We hope the film keeps attracting a large audience.
