Sofia Helin creating new Swedish thriller series

Sofia Helin [+] has joined fellow Swedish actresses Alexandra Rapaport [+], Julia Dufvenius [+] and Anja Lundqvist to create a new thriller series titled Honour (Swedish title: Heder), the Nordisk Film og TV Fond reports.

The series is about a law firm called Heder that is run by four women who are also long-time friends. They are on a mission to make the world a better place for women that have been the victim of violence. However, things start to happen to the lawyers, each contacted in a different way by an unknown person. Coarse sexual images are sent, the office is vandalised and it looks like the threats come from a powerful force from the criminal underworld. This all happens as the firm take on a case where a well-known and wealthy businessman has fallen off the balcony of a flat owned by a prostitute.

Honour is being produced by Bigster for Discovery Networks Sweden. No release date has been confirmed. The series is being taken to the C21 Summit in London next week to be pitched.

Helin told The Independent that the series will be a mix of Sex and the City and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. You can read the full interview here.
