SKAM spinoff underway in Western Norway

A spinoff of the hit Norwegian series Skam is currently underway in the town of Førde in Western Norway, roughly midway between Bergen and Ålesund.

The new series will be an online drama for NRK P3 starring local young actors. Auditions are currently underway in Førde, with their local newspaper reporting on it here. The key theme they will be facing in the series is the challenges with moving out into the world.

Skam focused on a group of teenagers in the Norwegian capital of Oslo.

The series has the working title of Lovleg and filming will take place from June until August at the Firda Upper Secondary School in the nearby town of Sandane.

The Norwegian release date will be towards the end of 2018.
