This special ceremony was held at the Embassy of France.
This is undoubtedly the face of modern woman, played so beautifully by Sidse Babett Knudsen in the television series “Borgen” , released in spring 2014 on the Franco-German cultural channel “Arte” which won the Danish actress, the recognition of professional and especially the admiration and sympathy of the public in France.
Many, Denmark and France, ignored then and are still unaware that Sidse Babett Knudsen had perfected his art, some years before, at the Théâtre de l’Ombre in Paris where she lived for five years.
That’s his talent for the links it continues to build with the French art world (it will be in France at the end of October to shoot a new film) but also because it is a radiant ambassador of the Francophonie, the French government wanted by the political and symbolic gesture honoring Mrs. Sidse Babett Knudsen.
François Zimeray, Ambassador of France, ” Sidse Babett Knudsen, is one of the best Danish actresses of her generation. She is beautiful, she is credible, it is talented: this is its first power. But beyond his personal qualities, that France also wants to honor with this award, it is exemplary of Denmark who managed to reach the highest standards of equality and women empowerment . ” He adds, “the world would be better, ‘hyggelig’ if all the women had the share of power that is their right and their is often confiscated . “
At the announcement of his appointment, Sidse Babett Knudsen said: ” It is a great honor and a great pleasure to receive this distinction France. France occupies a special place in my heart since I have made a part of my studies and it was a pleasure to see the excellent reception that the French have given to Borgen. I look forward to my next shoot in Paris
