Shudder picks up BLACK LAKE and JORDSKOTT

The streaming service Shudder has picked up two new Nordic Noir series: Black Lake and the second season of Jordskott.

Black Lake follows a group of friends when they visit the abandoned Black Lake ski resort, the scene of a horrific crime. The group of friends, led by the ambitious Johan, plan to reopen the resort. However, a series of dark and disturbing events begin to take place…

Black Lake stars Sarah-Sofie Boussnina [+], Filip Berg [+], Mathilde Norhold, Philip Oros [+], Anna Åstrom [+] and Valter Skarsgård [+]. Produced by Jarowskij, Black Lake will stream on Shudder in the US, Canada, Germany, and Austria from the 21st of December.

The second season of Jordskott premiered in Sweden a couple months ago. It picks up some time after the first season and follows police detective Eva Thörnblad (Moa Gammel [+]) as she returns to her old job in Stockholm after some haunting occurrences.

Jordskott will be shown on Shudder in the US and Canada from the 18th of January.

Shudder is a streaming service owned by AMC Networks that focuses on the thriller and horror genres.
