SF Studios to produce ‘The Lawyer’

Nordic production house SF Studios is going to produce a new thriller series titled The Lawyer, Variety reports.

The 10-part thriller series is created by Jens Lapidus (Easy Money), Hans Rosenfeldt (The Bridge) and Michael Hjort (Sebastian Bergman).

The Lawyer will star Swedish up and comer Alexander Karim (Tyrant) as Frank Nordling, a successful Swedish defence lawyer. He discovers his firm’s most important client is responsible for the murder of his parents. As he becomes obsessed with revenge, Nordling gets embroiled in the Copenhagen underworld and its web of violence.

The Lawyer will be produced by well-established Swedish producers Nicklas Wikström Nicastro, whose recent credits include the Oscar-nominated film A Man Called Ove, and Joakim Hansson (Johan Falk).

The series will be released on streaming service Viaplay and TV3 in Sweden and Denmark this autumn. Shooting will start this March in Stockholm, Malmø and Copenhagen.
