See the first images from the Finnish/German crime series ARCTIC CIRCLE

The first stills for the upcoming Finnish/German crime series Arctic Circle have been released, and they certainly give off a chilly vibe!

Arctic Circle is a crime series set in the Finnish Lapland, where we follow police officer Nina (Kuustonen) and German virologist Thomas Lorenz (Brückner) as they investigate a deadly virus discovered on the body of a nearly dead prostitute in an old cabin in the wilderness. The series adds an additional element to the story by having a pharmaceutical company involved, as they financed Lorenz’ work in the field of virology.

This is the first co-production between Finland’s Yellow Film & TV and Germany’s Bavaria Fiction. It has already been picked up for world distribution by Paris-based Lagardère Studios.

Arctic Circle will premiere exclusively on the Finnish streaming service Elisa Viihde later this year before airing on YLE.

Take a look at the stills below.
