Sandhamn Murders returning for a longer season

The Swedish crime series Sandhamn Murders is coming back for a longer crime investigation in its sixth season.

The previous five seasons of the series have had a 3×60′ format, but the new season will consist of four episodes of ninety minutes, to be filmed in two parts in the Stockholm archipelago between August-October 2016 and then May-June 2017.

The series stars Jakob Cedergren (Submarino) and Alexandra Rapaport, who will be reprising her role as a banking lawyer and mother of two Nora Linde, summer guest on the island of Sandhamn who helps inspector Thomas Andreasson (Cedergren) and his colleague Mia Holmgren (Sandra Andreis).

The series is one of Sweden’s TV4’s most successful crime dramas. The full five seasons are airing on French station Arte starting this week.
