Ruben Östlund Joins the Sundance Film Festival Jury

The Swedish director Ruben Östlund has joined the World Cinema Dramatic Jury at the Sundance Film Festival.

The jury also consists of executive Hanaa Issa from the Doha Film Institute in Qatar, and Hong Kong–based producer Michael J. Werner.

Östlund is best known for his Palme d’Or-winning film The Square, which is also currently shortlisted for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

The Sundance Film Festival tends to screen a number of Scandinavian films; with The Guilty, And Breath Normally and Holiday selected for the World Dramatic Competition.

The Sundance Film Festival is currently running until the 28th of January.
