Roy Andersson’s new film to screen at Stockholm industry event

Roy Andersson’s [+] new film About Endlessness is among the twelve films that have been selected for the ‘Works in Progress’ at Stockholm’s Industry Days, which are held parallel to the Stockholm Film Festival.

While the whole film isn’t quite ready yet, delegates will be able to watch a preview clip of the highly anticipated film. Half of About Endlessness has been shot, which a release date set for May 2019 (Cannes, anyone?).

About Endlessness will be in a similar format to Andersson’s other works, with short vignette’s capturing moments in everyday life. Among the characters are Hitler (Magnus Wallgren), a marketing director (Kristina Ekmark), a woman who loves champagne (Lisa Blohm) and a priest (Martin Serner).

Not only does the Industry Days have a sneak peek at the new Andersson film, but a masterclass will also take place on the 17th of November with Joachim Trier [+], Eskil Vogt [+] and producer Thomas Robsham. Their film Thelma is also screening at the Stockholm Film Festival ahead of its Swedish theatrical release on the 19th of November.
