Rolf Lassgård is back as Erik Bäckström in Swedish crime THE HUNTERS

The popular Swedish crime films Hunters and Hunters 2 are set to return as a television series with Rolf Lassgård to return as his character Erik Bäckström.

Nordic major SF Studios will produce the series The Hunters, an original six-episode crime thriller series which has been commissioned by C More, the Swedish streaming service.

In the series, Bäckström will be a relentless detective who returns to his hometown in northern Sweden, a small community where corruption and deceit are rampant.

Jens Jonsson (Easy Money III: Life Deluxe) will direct the series.

Following Alex and The LawyerThe Hunters marks yet another high-profile crime series that SF is producing. SF Studios investment in television drama is a new stage in the company, which was founded as AB Svensk Filmindustri in 1917 and primarily produced films.


The Hunters will launch on C More exclusively in 2018.
