Rojda Sekersöz’s BEYOND DREAMS heads to the Cannes Market

The Swedish film by Rojda SekersözBeyond Dreams (Dröm vidare), is heading to the Cannes Market with Pluto Film.

Beyond Dreams is about a group of four young women and their dream to get out of their current lives and have a fresh start. It won the Audience Dragon Award for Best Nordic Film as well as the Swedish Church Award at the Göteborg Film Festival. Beyond Dreams had its Swedish release back in March, and received strong local reviews (we reviewed the film here).

Pluto Film is also screening the Dutch/Norwegian film Disappearance by Boudewijn Koole. The film is about a woman, Roos, who visits her mother in Norway. Old pains and differences are gradually put aside as Roos eventually finds a way to say goodbye. Rifka Lodeizen, Elsie de Brauw and Jakob Oftebro have roles in the film. Pluto Film is also selling the Norwegian film All the Beauty by Aasne Vaa Greibrokk, which was released in Norway in 2016.
