‘Ride Upon the Storm’ wins Best International Drama at the C21 Awards

The Danish drama series Ride Upon the Storm has picked up the award for Best International Drama at this year’s C21 Drama Awards.

Starring Lars Mikkelsen and created by Adam Price (Borgen), Ride Upon the Storm is about two sons of a priest who struggle with their father’s God-like behaviour and are forced into making desperate decisions in their quest for his approval and their independence.

The series was up against Home Ground (Norway), Babylon Berlin (Germany), Dark (Germany), Keeping Faith (Wales), and Sense of Tumour (Belgium). It was judged by nearly 100 of the world’s leading drama commissioners.

Ride Upon the Storm is available on SBS in Australia, streaming platforms in another 77 countries, and will come to Walter Presents in February.
