Release date announced for the final season of ‘The Bridge’

The final season of The Bridge has an official release date – New Year’s Day!

Shooting the fourth season started back in November, and unlike the other seasons will be mostly based in Denmark.

“I can confirm that The Bridge season four will premiere on New Year’s Day. The reason we’ll air it at that moment is because we obviously want to give all the fans and viewers a nice present while they’re sitting on their sofa on New Year’s Day. It will be a brilliant final series, really something to look forward to,”  Anna Croneman, the head of drama at Swedish broadcaster SVT which co-produces the series, told tabloid Expressen.

Sofia Helin will return as Saga Norén and Thure Lindhardt will return as the Swede’s colleague from series three, Henrik Sabroe.

The final series will be eight episodes long. The international premiere will be announced at a later date.
