RAMS wins Golden Eye at Zurich

Rams, directed by Grímur Hákonarson, has won the main prize as best International Feature Film at Zürich Film Festival (ZFF) last night along with a CHF 25,000 (ISK 3.3 million, USD 26,000, EUR 23,000) cash prize.

The jury stated that the decision had been unanimous and that all members had fallen for the film for its human aspect, depth and humour. In his acceptance speech, Grimur stated that it was a great recognition for him and his film crew, and pointed out that despite Iceland’s small size, their filmmakers have achieved great success at international film festivals. He dedicated the award to Icelandic filmmakers.
