Press Release: A new Cinema Scandinavia

Cinema Scandinavia has grown rapidly over the past fourteen months, and we are well on the way to becoming the hub for Nordic film and television. Our goal to promote and discuss Nordic cinema for the wider international community has seen us gain support from the industry and find a large fanbase that continues to grow.

In order to meet these growing demands, we have designed a new website specifically targeted at streamlining a simple-to-use and elegant website. With the magazine in mind, we put something together that is easy to read, easy to find information, and reflects the elegant Scandinavian art we love so much.

To celebrate, we are offering 20% off the entire store. Simply use the code ‘newwebsite’ to get a copy of the magazine or subscribe.

In addition to an easier way to read content, we also have new components to the website designed to enhance viewing. These are:

1. Newsletter

Our newsletter has been in operating for only three months, and already has over 100 regular readers. Aimed at covering Nordic film news in a fast and elegant way, our newsletter is the best way to stay up-to-date with news and its popularity grows every day.

2. Advertising

Over the next month we will be introducing advertising on our website and in our magazine. Rather than flood the page with ads, we would like to do it in such an elegant way that doesn’t distract from content, but rather provides users with additional information and resources. We are currently looking for those wishing to sign up to our free introductory system, and are looking for people and businesses wanting to promote a film, screening, festival, book, or dvd.

3. Subscriptions on the website

Reading our content just got much easier. Everyone who subscribes digitally or for the printed magazine receives free access to not only read everything online, but also download all available magazines, free of charge. This has made our subscriptions even more value-for-money, and allows for greater access to Nordic film and TV.

In the future…

We are receiving more and more access to films every week, which means over the coming month we will be releasing even more film reviews and covering even more festivals. We are also focusing on delivering interviews and releases for the wider international community. Now is the time to connect to Cinema Scandinavia, as the next few months will prove to be huge.

Our new look magazine will be released at the end of August, and while we aren’t giving anything anyway, you are sure in for a treat.
