Per Fly’s much anticipated TV drama Follow the Money created by Borgen co-writer Jeppe Gjervig Gram for DR Drama has just been picked up by BBC Four. Sue Deeks, BBC Head of Programme Acquisition said: “Follow The Money is a stylish, intelligent, thought-provoking and complex multi-stranded drama. Following on from The Killing, Borgen and 1864, we are delighted to have another superb series from DR on BBC Four.”

The series about financial crime stars Thomas Bo Larson, Natalie Madueño Wolfsberg, Esben Smed and Nikolaj Lie Kaas (pictured). It will premiere on DR1 early 2016.

BBC Four’s successful airing of The Killing/Forbrydelsen in 2012 has paved the way for a wave of Nordic and European subtitled dramas on British television. The next Danish language show to reach British viewers on May 16 is Ole Bornedal’s love epic 1864.The BBC also announced last week the acquisition of its first Icelandic drama series Trapped.
