The best-selling crime novel ‘Cold Courage’ is being adapted into a Finnish/British television series.

The book, which is written by Pekka Hiltunen, is about Lia, who witnesses a disturbing scene on her way to work. As details are released, the brutal truth emerges – a Latvian prostitute has been killed, her body run over by a steamroller and then placed in the boot of a car to be found. Lia finds herself unable to forget, and when she meets Mari, another Finn living in London, they begin to work together to solve the murder.

The novel is being adapted by David Joss Buckley (Hinterland) and is being produced by MTG Studios. Agneta Fagerström-Olsson is directing. No casting details have been announced.

Cold Courage will premiere on the Nordic streaming service Viaplay in 2019.
