Ole Bornedal to direct new Danish comedy

Ole Bornedal

Ole Bornedal, the Danish director known for the miniseries 1864, is set to return to comedy after a decade to make a film about two friends who hire a Russian assassin to kill their wives.

Dræberne fra Nibe (or The Killers From Nibe in English) is set to star Ulrich Thomsen, Nicolas Bro, Lene Maria Christensen, Søren Malling and Ole Thestrup. In the film, two Jutland artists and friends are fed up with their lifeless marriages and dream of life on their own. However, divorces are expensive – so one day they hire a Russian assassin to kill their wives, but they have underestimated their wives and suddenly they are on top of a hit list.

The Killers From Nibe will be produced by Miso Film. The feature is set for release this Christmas.
