‘Of Horses and Men’ wins best film at the Aubagne International Film Festival


Of Horses and Men, directed by Benedikt Erlingsson, continues its strong festival run, winning best film at the Aubagne International Film Festival in France. Also, Davíd Thór Jónsson, the composer of the film’s music, received the award for best original score. Other recent awards for Of Horses and Men include a special mention at the Luxembourg City Film Festival. The film was also part of the lineup of this year’s New Directors/New Films festival in New York, which is held jointly by the Museum of Modern Art and Lincoln Center. Back home, the film won six Icelandic Academy Awards, including best picture.

Of Horses and Men has now taken part in more than 30 festivals around the world, amassing a total of 16 awards. The film continues its festival run at the upcoming CPH PIX in Copenhagen, the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival in Taiwan, the San Francisco International Film Festival, the Seattle International Film Festival and many more.
