NRK launches new SKAM series

The Norwegian public broadcaster on Saturday launched the brand new television series that will follow in the footsteps of the hit web series Skam.

Titled Blank, the series will follow young adults as its protagonists. The characters are a little older than 19, and the series will focus on life after high school.

A new website for Blank launched suddenly on Saturday, in a similar fashion to how the Skam website was launched.

Skam was a huge Norwegian and international success. It followed the lives of a group of young people attending a Norwegian high school, and viewers were able to follow their favourite characters via their social media platforms online.

The original series is currently being remade in a number of European countries as well as the US, where it will be broadcast on Facebook’s US streaming service.

NRK has said that it will continue to add to the Blank website, which can be found here. (in Norwegian)
